Hysteroscopy

A hysteroscopy procedure allows your physician to look inside your uterus in order to diagnose and treat the cause of any abnormal bleeding. A diagnostic hysteroscopy can be used in order to diagnose problems of the uterus or to confirm the results of previous testing. Your doctor may recommend evaluation of the inside of your uterus to help diagnose problems with bleeding, polyps, or an IUD. Anesthesia is available for the hysteroscopy procedure and recovery is typically quick.
