LEEP (IN OFFICE)

Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure is one way to remove abnormal cells from the cervix.  It uses a thin wire loop that cuts away a thin layer of the cervix.

Dilation and Curettage (D&C)

Dilation and Curettage is used to diagnose and treat many conditions that affect the uterus, such as abnormal bleeding.  A specimen of tissue is removed and examined for any possible abnormalities.

COLPOSCOPY (IN OFFICE)

Colposcopy is performed when a Pap test shows changes that could lead to pre-cancer or cancer.  It provides more information about the abnormal cells to ensure women’s wellness.

Our practice is the first in the Houston area to use DySIS, the latest colposcopy technology.

MYOSURE

Myosure is a device that the surgeon inserts into your uterus through a hysteroscope to remove fibroids, polyps or a sample of endometrial tissue. This system allows their removal without having to cut or remove any part of your uterus.
